Downs Safe & Lock has serviced, maintained, and installed access control systems since the 1980’s. The access control industry has evolved a great deal since then as have we. Downs Safe & Lock works with many access control and lock manufacturers to provide a solution for almost every application. Although we specialize in new installation projects of 10 doors and under we have installed systems as large as 33 doors and multiple floors as well as systems expanding multiple locations across the country. Our solutions include door release systems, intercoms, standalone, self contained, battery powered locksets, self contained wireless locksets with remote lock down capability (school lock down), time scheduled lock/unlock, audit trail reporting and traditional hardwired access control panels, readers and locking devices. Every system we install is backed by our unmatched warranty, and meets or exceeds all building, life safety and fire codes, and every hardwired system is cabled using plenum rated code compliant cable . We also service and maintain the systems we sell, ordering additional key fobs, cards, replacement components or further expansion of one of our existing systems. Although we typically do not maintain systems installed by others, we are open to discussing the possibility or providing quotation to upgrade to one of our systems.
